Prepared for Cytidel

Exposure Strategy

A messaging and exposure strategy for Cytidel.

July 2026

How we see you

A category no one owns,
and six months to claim it.

0%

Coverage from Europe

Over the last twelve months, 52% of your coverage came from Ireland and the UK, none from continental Europe, and not one piece was a feature on the company. The stadium is empty and we need to fill it before the raise.

Up-market

Where it is going

Repositioning from a threat-intel feed to an agentic exposure intelligence platform, and the buyer is moving up with it: from the analyst to the CISO, the board and the CFO, as regulators make boards personally accountable for cyber risk.

Unclaimed

Exposure strategy

Tenable, Qualys and Rapid7 list what is vulnerable. Mandiant and Recorded Future still ship PDF reports. No one owns the language for acting on what is actually dangerous, at machine speed. That category is Cytidel’s to define.

Events

Leveraging events

HumanX in Amsterdam, Slush in Helsinki and the presidency are the platforms that put Cytidel in front of European media, buyers and investors, and establish it as a European name, not just an Irish one.

The Ask

Own the category. Fund the raise.

FIRST: DEFINE

Shape the messaging that earns Cytidel exposure, and define the category it owns.

We shape Cytidel’s messaging into a story journalists and investors actually pick up: the two or three themes it can own, so Matt Conlon plus Cytidel means one clear thing. Get the message right and the exposure follows.

THEN: RAISE

Leverage events to put Cytidel in front of the right investors.

The round opens in September. We use HumanX in Amsterdam and Slush in Helsinki, where the US and European cyber investors gather, to lift Cytidel’s profile in front of the London and New York funds that matter. We build the profile, the raise is yours to run.

The Roadmap

Six months, centred on the raise.

01 · Pre-raise, months 1-2

Get the messaging right

• Define the category and the messaging framework
• Set the geographies: European, not Irish
• Lay the company and founder profile foundation

02 · The raise, months 3-4

Turn it into exposure

• HumanX, Slush and the EU presidency, around the raise
• Founder profile, op-eds and interviews
• Build vertical stories

03 · Post-raise, months 5-6

Own the sector

• Overarching data and commentary on the sector
• Closed-door CISO round tables
• Sustained coverage across verticals, including finance, pharma and defence

Dream Headlines

The coverage we would go and get.

Illustrative. The stories we would target in the outlets that move European cyber, buyers and investors.

Sifted Deeptech

The startup building Europe’s answer to exposure management

By Éanna Kelly

Cytidel, founded in Ireland and now selling into the UK and beyond, surfaces the small fraction of vulnerabilities under live exploitation on average 51 days before they reach the official catalogue. Founder Matt Conlon argues the category is shifting from a security-analyst tool to a board-level concern, as regulators make directors personally accountable for cyber risk, and says Europe needs its own agentic defence layer, not another US import.

The Register Security

Biting the hand that feeds IT

Cytidel reckons it spots the dangerous CVEs weeks before the KEV list catches up

By Joe Fay

The scanners tell you what is vulnerable. The Irish firm reckons it can tell you what is actually dangerous, mapping live exploitation and threat-actor chatter to the roughly one percent of CVEs that matter. It runs the models in-house, with no customer data going near a third-party LLM, and is pitching what it calls agentic exposure intelligence to CISOs drowning in alerts.
